The gladiators fought on the sands of the amphitheatre.
It was inaugurated in the year BC and is located beside the theatre to take advantage of the hill of San Albín. There is a cross-shaped moat in the centre of the arena.

Timetables: 1 July to 15 September, 9.30am-7.15pm. 16 September to 30 June, 9.30am-1.45pm and 4-6.15pm. Closed: 1 January and 24, 25 and 31 December.
Entry fee: Joint admission including Theatre, Amphitheatre, Fortress, Casa del Mitreo House, Visitor Centre, Crypt of Santa Eulalia Basilica, Roman Circus, Los Columbarios Funeral Area: €9 Admission to Amphitheatre and Theatre only: €6.50 Reduced: €5 (over 65s, pensioners, groups, minimum 20 people by prior appointment, Youth Card holders, students and children 9-16 years, with ID). Free: children under 8 years.
